Power engineers of Norilsk put into operation 10 universal all-terrain vehicles. The new equipment was purchased in accordance with the decommissioning program of the obsolete GT-T1, TM-130 and TTM-3902 machines.
A subsidiary of Norilsk Nickel, OJSC Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company (NTEC), which supplies electricity, heat and water to 5 cities, 2 villages, as well as all enterprises of the Norilsk industrial region, has acquired 10 all-terrain vehicles CHETRA TM-140.
CHETRA TM-140 — one of the best all-terrain vehicles in the world in terms of its cross-country abilities. Equipped with a winch, the snow and swamp buggy has high maneuver and survival abilities even on soil with low bearing capacity. Tracked machine with its carrying capacity of up to 4 tons is able to overcome swamps and permafrost areas. All-terrain vehicles with additional fuel tanks have a range of up to 800 km. At the same time, the new equipment meets the high environmental safety requirements in terms of respect for the unique nature of the Arctic. So, the specific pressure of all-terrain vehicle tracks on the ground is 0.2 kg/cm2. This indicator guarantees the preservation of the tundra landscape.
